Olympic Fever

I had to add one more quip that I thought was pretty cute. I have to get a picture of it tonight to post.

Beau and Chapman-Scott have really enjoyed the Olympics. Well, I should say that Beau has enjoyed the Olympics and Chapman-Scott does whatever Beau does so in her own little world, she has enjoyed them as well. He has watched the swimming intently but in the past couple of nights has really gotten into the diving! He already loves to play "lifeguard" with his whistle (He is Brandon the lifeguard and CSB is Miss Virginia the lifeguard) and they make life preservers and rescue wayward swimmers from the water (i.e. me from the hardwood floors!) They even pretend they are swimming.

Back to the diving...last night, they were both standing on the mantle of the fireplace, putting their arms in an upward position and jumping off into the "water". Beau made me "grade" him (of course, he always got a 10!)

It is so wonderful to be part of such a wonderful event as the Olympics. I bet that those athletes have no clue how much influence they have on children across the world and how much of an inspiration they are for us old people!

Beau's last words as he jumped off the high dive for the last time was...Mommy, can I be like one of those divers...I answered that he could be anything he wanted to be. I hope he takes my advice!
